THE UNTUNING OF THE SKY

2016
THE HENRY ART GALLERY

I imagined seeing the stars like the experience of language before it has encountered other language; like the written word before spelling had been standardized; something wild and felt, something with meaning that demands to be deciphered.
– Memory Charted

The Untuning of the Sky is a series of outdoor summer events that brought together music, poetry, and film inspired by the mystery and wonder of the sky at night. Held at venues across Seattle, the first of the events took place at The Center for Wooden Boats hosted by Jim Demetre and featured newly commissioned work by myself and Natasha Marin along with a debut of atmospheric work from Nat Evans.
